Rights Respecting School

At The Willows Primary School, we are committed to placing the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of our core values and ethos; believing children’s participation is integral to all aspects of school life. The result is a raised sense of security and self-confidence which allows them to take the next step in advocating the rights of children everywhere.

Useful Information

Reading

Your child is expected to read regularly at home.  We run a reading reward system where each Friday we count up the number of times children have read at home.  Dojos will be given for children reading 4 or more times a week. Please ensure your child reads every night and returns their book bag to school each day.

P.E.

P.E. days are Monday and Friday.  We provide the kit in school.  Please ensure your child wears appropriate footwear.  i.e. no sandals.

Please ensure that your child's hair is tied up and they are not wearing jewellery.

Homework

A learning log task is sent home every Friday and is due back in school on the following Thursday.  Please support your child with this.  We will also send home weekly spellings that your child needs to learn for a test the following Friday.  Your child can earn Dojo points for achieving well on their test.

Seesaw

Please remember to check Seesaw regularly as all important notices and information will be posted on there.
