PE and Sport Premium Funding

The PE and Sport Premium is extra government funding provided to primary schools in England to help improve physical education, physical activity, and sport for all pupils.

The aim of this funding is to encourage children to lead healthy, active lives by increasing their participation in sport and physical activity. It also helps to build confidence, teamwork skills, and supports children’s overall wellbeing and learning.

Schools can decide how best to use the funding to meet the needs of their pupils. This may include:

• Training and developing staff skills in teaching PE

• Purchasing new sports equipment and resources

• Providing a wider range of sports and activities

• Offering additional clubs and opportunities before or after school

We carefully plan and review how this funding is spent to ensure it has a positive and lasting impact on our children’s health, enjoyment of sport, and lifelong participation in physical activity.
