Year 6

Welcome to Year 6

Year 6 is a very special and memorable year as our children reach the final stage of their primary school journey here at The Willows. Throughout the year, they work hard to prepare for their SATs, showing great determination and resilience.

One of the highlights of Year 6 is our War and Conflict topic, always a firm favourite among the children. As part of this learning, they take part in an immersive World War II workshop, where history is brought to life through hands-on activities and real-world experiences.

The children also enjoy a two-night residential trip to Ghyll Head — a fantastic outdoor adventure filled with teamwork, challenge, and lasting memories. During the summer term, we work closely together to ensure every child feels confident and supported as they prepare for a smooth transition into high school. As the year draws to a close, they proudly prepare and perform their end-of-year production, celebrating their time at primary school before taking their next big step into secondary school.
