Rights Respecting Schools

At The Willows Primary School, we are committed to placing the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of our core values and ethos; believing children’s participation is integral to all aspects of school life. The result is a raised sense of security and self-confidence which allows them to take the next step in advocating the rights of children everywhere.

For further information about the children's 'Rights Respecting' charter, follow the link below:

The children worked in the Quad and discovered how vegetables go from the ground in to the pickling pot.

Reading

Reading is dreaming with your eyes open!  Children in year 3 should read their school reading book every night with an adult and read for pleasure as much as possible.  Once children have finished their school reading book, they will be able to take part in a quiz in school to test their knowledge.

P.E.

Children's P.E. kits are provided by and kept in school.  Long hair should be tied up and earings taken out or covered.
