Computing

At The Willows Primary School we value computing and the use of ICT. The children have access to a selection of hardware and software
which allows them to carry out research and present their work in a variety of different ways.

Years 1-6 are taught a weekly computing lesson by a specialist computing teacher Mr Summer. The children also use technology in other lessons in a cross curricular way.

EYFS are taught Computing through the technology strand of Understanding the World from development matters.

Children are encouraged to use a range of technology in the environment and complete challenges using different hardware.

Safer Internet Day

Each year our school takes part in Safer Internet Day, which is celebrated globally on Tuesday 5th February 2019. The slogan for the event this year is, “Together for a better internet.'

Competition Time!

For our learning log next week the children are designing posters to promote online safety. The winners will get the chance to digitally recreate their posters. These will then be printed for display around school and published on the website.

Check back soon to see the winning posters!
